Clara Vale Trail 5km 2025

Race Details

5km Trail run or walk through the stunning Clara Vale forest and along the Avonmore river in Co. Wicklow.

An amazing opportunity to run or walk the beautiful trails of Clara Vale Nature Reserve in County Wicklow. Choose from 3km, 5km or 10km routes that will take you along the banks of the Avonmore River, across the little known Samuel Hayes suspension bridge and through the stunning forest trails of Clara Vale.

Start Time: 1:15pm

Age Requirement: Participants must be over 12 years on race day

Check-in: Number collection from 11:30am at Rathdrum Rugby Club, The Ivy Leaf Grounds, Rathdrum, Co Wicklow, A67A045

There is a 5 minute walk through the woods from registration at the rugby club to the race start.

• Adults: €15
• Children: €5
• Family (2 Adults & 2 Kids): €35.00

Perfect for all ages and abilities – Runners and walkers are all welcome and everyone will receive a finishers prize. Refreshments will be served at event HQ at Rathdrum Rugby Club afterwards.

Route Information: This event will take place on forest trails and/or hillside paths. The ground may be uneven, rough and slippy in places. Please ensure you wear suitable footwear and clothing.

This is a not for profit event and all money raised will go towards supporting U14 girls rugby development at Rathdrum RFC.

Accessibility: Unfortunately, due to the offroad nature of this route, we cannot cater for wheelchairs and buggies at this event this year.
